Quaid-e-Azam International Hospital celebrated the International Nurses Day on May 12, 2018.
This year, the day was marked by the theme:
NURSES: A VOICE TO LEAD - HEALTH IS A HUMAN RIGHT
The event was organized under the supervision of chief director Nursing and midwifery affairs of QIH Ms Clara Pasha.
CEO, Quaid e Azam International Hospital, Dr Shoukat Ali Bangash was the chief guest of the ceremony that was attended by a large number of nurses, doctors and medical staff from various hospitals of the twin cities "The role of nurses has now expanded. Nurses today are seen as educators, counselors and researchers" said Dr Bangash. He appreciated the role of nurses for their selfless and crucial contribution in health care. Admiring the work of nurses CEO Dr Bangash advised nurses must have a clear vision of their duties to help the patients.
The speeches were followed by poster competition and games that gave an insight into the problems faced by women, es
pecially nurses. He also said nurses demands have gone very high globally.The event was concluded with the presentation of shields and prizes to the nurses of various departments by the CEO.
