• Dr. Syed, after acquiring Fellowship in General Surgery, joined Pakistan’s premier institution, The Aga Khan University Hospital for further training in Breast and General Surgery. She gained competency in General and Laparoscopic surgical procedures and management of common benign and malignant disorders of Breast, diagnostic tools, prognostic markers and principles of Oncological and Reconstructive Breast Surgery. She has had multidisciplinary exposure as the program incorporated rotations in the disciplines of Pathology, Radiology, Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology. She regularly conducted tumor board meetings. She has actively participated in under-graduate teaching programs and post-graduate training during her career. She has written several research papers, prepared posters and made podium presentations at national and international conferences. She has armed herself with having attended multiple workshops and courses on Surgical Skills, ACLS, Trauma and Clinical Trial design.
